    Job Summary

    We are seeking a Physical Therapist to join our team! We are seeking a motivated, dedicated Physical Therapist (PT) to join our team in outpatient physical therapy. (Orthopedic, sports rehab, pain management, neuro rehab including: post stroke, pelvic floor, and vertigo etc.) The Physical Therapist will provide quality patient care, consult with the primary care providers , and ensure compliance with all applicable regulations. The successful candidate must possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills, as well as a commitment to providing exceptional patient care. The ideal candidate works well both independently and within a team, can maintain a positive attitude to encourage patients in recovery, and has existing knowledge of physical therapy guidelines and recommendations.     Responsibilities

    Evaluate patients based on past medical history, current symptoms, and correlating psychosocial factors to determine a diagnosis.

    Determine the best course of treatment to meet patient needs and recommend a proper plan of care in accordance with diagnosis and/or protocol.

    Assesses patient health by interviewing patients, performing physical progression of exercise and treatment, and obtaining updating, and studying therapy histories.

    Direct and educate patients with exercise and teach patients how to use support devices such as prostheses and crutches.

    Document the services and medications a patient receives concisely and accurately.

    Performs therapeutic procedures by administering manual exercises and instructing, encouraging, and assisting patients in performing physical activities, such as non-manual exercises, ambulatory functional activities, and daily-living activities.

    Provide treatments in accordance with plan of care based on patient need and symptoms using exercise, manual, and modality based therapies.

    Take on new responsibilities as needed and be willing to take new classes in order to gain knowledge and expertise in new areas.

    Instructs and counsels patients by describing therapeutic regimens, giving normal growth and development information, and promoting wellness and health maintenance.

    Communicate with other physical therapist/physical therapist assistants to maintain consistent and high quality patient care.

    Delegate appropriate interventions to and supervise Physical Therapist Assistants

    Qualifications

    Doctorate and / or Masters in Physical Therapy

    Current or upcoming board exam for state license as a Physical Therapist in the state of Colorado

    Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

    Ability to work independently and as part of a team

    Knowledge of applicable laws, regulations, and standards

    Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

    Ability to lift, move, and position patients as needed

    Ability to create a positive, nurturing environment
