School-Based Physical Therapist

Location: Delaware Public Schools

Contract Position | Competitive Pay | Meaningful Work

We are seeking a passionate and skilled Physical Therapist to support students with diverse physical needs in the Delaware public school system. You’ll collaborate with educators, families, and specialists to deliver high-quality services in an inclusive, educational setting.

Requirements:

Delaware License in Physical Therapy

Current criminal background check

Negative or inactive positive Mantoux TB test

Experience with students who have mild to severe disabilities

Experience in Delaware public schools (preferred)

Job Responsibilities:

Conduct evaluations and deliver physical therapy using a transdisciplinary approach

Provide therapy services in classrooms, community settings, small groups, and one-on-one

Prepare evaluation reports and track student progress

Develop and manage IEPs in compliance with School District procedures

Attend IEP meetings to assess eligibility and plan services

Recommend and adapt supportive equipment

Collaborate with school staff and engage with parents

Follow Cost Recovery guidelines

Participate in district in-service and professional development days
