    Position Summary

    We are seeking a motivated and compassionate Physical Therapy Aide to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will assist physical therapists in providing high-quality care to patients, focusing on the preparation and maintenance of treatment areas, equipment, and patient support. The Physical Therapy Aide will work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to ensure a smooth and efficient operation of the physical therapy department.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities

    • Assist physical therapists with patient care, including setting up and cleaning treatment areas and equipment.
    • Help patients perform prescribed exercises and activities under the supervision of a physical therapist.
    • Transport patients to and from treatment areas, ensuring their comfort and safety.
    • Maintain a clean and organized treatment environment, including sanitizing equipment and surfaces.
    • Prepare treatment areas and equipment for upcoming sessions.
    • Monitor and report patient progress and any changes in condition to the supervising physical therapist.
    • Perform administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments, maintaining patient records, and managing inventory.
    • Provide support and encouragement to patients throughout their treatment sessions.
    • Adhere to all regulatory and ethical standards in physical therapy practice.

    Qualifications

    • Education: High school diploma or equivalent. Completion of a physical therapy aide training program is preferred.
    • Experience: Previous experience in a healthcare setting is preferred but not required.
    • Skills: Strong interpersonal and communication skills, ability to follow instructions, and a commitment to patient care and safety.
    • Physical Requirements: Ability to lift and move patients and equipment, stand for extended periods, and perform physical tasks as needed.
