Thrive has a full-time opening for an energetic, quick-learning, compassionate, and dedicated Physical Therapy Aide. Applicants must be dependable with reliable transportation, personable, able to work in a fast-paced environment, able to work in a team setting, have strong multi-tasking skills, and have good communication skills.
**Please note this position may require you to travel to our other locations in E. Setauket, Sayville, and Smithtown.

Job Description:
Clean and organize the work area and disinfect equipment after treatment.
Instruct, motivate, safeguard, or assist patients in practicing exercises or functional activities under the direction of Physical Therapist.
Record treatment given and equipment used.
Transport patients to and from treatment areas using wheelchairs or providing standing support.
Secure patients into or onto therapy equipment.
Observe patients during treatment to compile and evaluate data on patients' responses and progress and report to the Physical Therapist.
Confer with physical therapy staff or others to discuss and evaluate patient information for planning, modifying, or coordinating treatment.
Arrange treatment supplies to keep them in order.
Maintain equipment or furniture to keep it in good working condition, including assembling or disassembling equipment or accessories.
Measure the patient's range of joint motion, body parts, or vital signs to determine the effects of treatments or for patient evaluations.
Qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent Personal trainer or Physical therapy aide experience preferred Strong organizational and communication skills Ability to work well independently and in a team Comfortable working with patients of all ages and backgrounds
