    Who we are:

    What We Need

    We are looking for experienced Physical Therapist Assistants who are looking to supplement their current income or pick up cases on a as needed basis.

    The Physical Therapist Assistant must be able to evaluate the patient’s condition and develop an individualized plan of care tailored to each patient based on the physician’s orders. Help patients manage pain and improve mobility, stability, balance and safety to improve quality of life.

    Qualifications

    · Graduated with a bachelor’s degree in physical therapy or higher degree in physical therapy from an accredited physical therapy program.

    · Passed the National Physical Therapy Examination (NPTE)

    · Fulfilled all other state required examination.

    · Compliant with continuing education, within state requirements as a condition of maintaining licensure.

    · Comply with all state mandated Physical Therapy Practice Act and other legal mandates.

    · Licensed or certified to practice as a physical therapist assistance as required by the state.

    · Two years of appropriate experience as a physical therapist assistant Facility/home health experience and interpersonal skills.

    · Ability to safely manage patients utilizing proper body mechanics.

    · Good knowledge of physical therapy principles, theory, methods and evidence-based practice.

    · Comply with accepted professional, ethical and legal standards of practice.

    · Excellent customer service skills and ability to deal tactfully with patients and staff.

    · Treat patients, families and staff with courtesy and respect.

    · Adhere to HIPAA and maintain patient confidentiality.

    Physical Requirements:

    Must be able to stand, walk, squat, bend, kneel, reach, twist, push and pull. Varied assistance is required depending on the ability of the client. Must be able to lift to 50 pounds. Visual and hearing acuity required.

    Environment:

    Contact with clients under a wide variety of circumstances. Care provided in client’s living environment with varying situations or in an institution such as a hospital. May be required to respond to emergency situations. Position includes tasks that have the potential for exposure to blood and other potentially infectious material (OPIM) such as body fluids/tissues.
