    We are expanding! Pediatric Clinic currently looking for a qualified full time or part time Physical Therapy Assistant to join our team of Physical, Occupational & Speech Therapists. If you are looking for a great place to work and be part of a collaborative team this may be the place for you. We have an immediate need for treatments in the clinic setting.

    PHYSICAL THERAPY ASSISTANT JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

    · Worl closely with lead Physical Therapist and follow plan of care that has been created.

    · Provide effective written and verbal communication with families, therapists, other providers (evaluation write ups, progress notes, daily notes, ect.)

    · Make appropriate care recommendations based on need (Occupational Therapy, Orthotists etc.)

    · Establish partnerships and positive relationships between providers, patients, and families.

    · Manage weekly schedule based on availability and patient need

    · Adhere to the regulatory and practice standards of Pediatric Physical Therapy in North Carolina, along with APTA.

    · Perform other duties as assigned or required as a natural course of employment at Speak To Me, Inc.

    QUALIFICATIONS/EDUCATION:

    · Degree from an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant Program

    · North Carolina State Licensure

    · Fingerprint and Background Check

    · Approximately (2) years’ experience in pediatrics required

    KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS

    · Knowledge of neurological and musculoskeletal diseases

    · Knowledge regarding birth - 21 population

    · Knowledge of rehabilitative treatment techniques as utilized by the generalist in treating a variety of conditions and age groups.

    · Knowledge of orthopedic manual therapy techniques

    · Knowledge of regulations and best practice standards according to NC state law and APTA

    · Knowledge of sensory and behavioral techniques in order to improve attention and compliance to treatment

    · Skills in assisting with orthotic fittings and gait training

    · Skills in adaptive equipment and devices, including measuring, fitting, and appropriate recommendations

    · Skill in working collaboratively with other disciplines to gain the most optimal results in patient care

    · Good organization and problem solving skills.
