Responsibilities: • Use physical therapy on patients to reduce pain and improve mobility as advised by doctor • Obtain advice from and work together with other healthcare professionals • Ensure that patient care records are correct, and adhere to all regulations and guidelines • Ask patients about their physical status, including any injuries or mobility concerns • Evaluate and interpret findings from the patient's tests results and assessments • Patient Care Support: Assist physical therapists in implementing individualized treatment plans by guiding patients through prescribed exercises and therapeutic activities. • Monitor Progress: Observe and document patient progress, responses, and any changes during therapy sessions, and report findings to the supervising physical therapist. • Treatment Delivery: Administer therapeutic interventions, such as stretching, manual therapy, or use of equipment, under the direction of the physical therapist. • Education and Communication: Provide patients and their families with clear instructions and guidance for home exercise programs and answer basic questions about their therapy. • Maintain a Safe Environment: Ensure that therapy spaces, equipment, and tools are clean, organized, and in good working order to promote a safe and efficient environment. • Collaboration: Work closely with the physical therapist and other team members to create a supportive and effective treatment experience for each patient. • Patient Advocacy: Support and encourage patients throughout their rehabilitation journey, motivating them to meet their goals and celebrate their progress. • Adhere to Protocols: Follow all clinic policies, procedures, and safety regulations to ensure compliance with professional and legal standards. • Professional Development: Stay current with continuing education and advancements in physical therapy techniques and practices. Qualifications: • Current state licensure in the state you practice • We prefer candidates with some previous experience working directly with patients in a healthcare setting • This position requires excellent analytical skills, communication skills, and observational skills • Must have a bachelor’s degree or higher and a Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) • Passage of the National Physical Therapy Exam (NPTE) is required for this position • This position requires you to be currently licensed in the state you practice • Successful candidates will need strong analytical, communication, and observational skills • Previous experience working with patients in a healthcare outpatient environment is highly desired Compensation: $70,000 - $85,000 yearly
