Position Summary:

This position is for a Physical Therapy Technician who is looking to join our team to assist and support the physical therapist(s) and physical therapy assistants providing services at our outpatient clinic. Under direct supervision of the Physical Therapist or Physical Therapy Assistant, the PT technician facilitates patient flow and supports delivery of superior quality patient care to help achieve maximum therapeutic benefit.

Essential Job Functions

· Under direct supervision of the PT/PTA, the PT tech will instruct, motivate, safeguard, and assist patients practicing exercises and functional activities based on PT plan of care

· Assist with patient treatments as directed

· May monitor treatment progress as dictated by physical therapist and/or physical therapy assistant

· Clean and organize work area and disinfect exercise equipment and perform laundry duties as necessary

· Maintain equipment used in therapy interventions

· Maintain adequate inventory of supplies and equipment needs

· Able to recognize and maintain confidentiality and adherence to HIPAA guidelines.

· Other assigned duties

Qualifications/Requirements

· High school diploma or GED

· 1 year related experience and/or training

· Ability to multi-task

· Strong attention to detail

· Works successfully in a cross-functional team environment

· Practical problem solving skills

· Dependable attendance

· Able to prioritize multiple tasks

· Strong communication skills
