Job Description: SPG is actively seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Physical and Technical Security Project Manager to join our dynamic team, specializing in the coordination and oversight of secure facility construction projects with a primary focus on ensuring compliance with ICD 705 standards. This role is critical in guaranteeing that all secure facility construction project efforts adhere to approved processes and stringent security regulations and guidelines. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in collaborating closely with a diverse array of stakeholders, including clients, architects, engineers, and construction contractors. They will be tasked with overseeing the security compliance of secure facility construction projects from the initial planning stages through design, construction and accreditation. Key Responsibilities:
Compliance Review & Guidance: Review construction plans and specifications to ensure alignment with ICD 705 security requirements. Provide clear guidance and ongoing support to construction teams and contractors regarding security-related aspects of the project.
Inspection & Auditing: Conduct regular on-site inspections and audits to verify adherence to ICD 705 standards during project planning and execution. Proactively identify and resolve any potential security issues to keep projects compliant.
Collaboration & Coordination: Collaborate closely with architects, engineers, and security personnel to address and resolve security concerns. Work directly with the client to develop, update and manage secure facility construction project schedules, and steward secure facility construction projects from conception through accreditation.
Progress Tracking & Reporting: Monitor project progress, report on key milestones, and address any security-related issues in a timely manner to maintain compliance, project momentum, cost control and schedule.
Required Qualifications:
Experience in Secure Facility Construction: Demonstrated experience in secure facility construction projects, with an emphasis on ensuring compliance with strict security regulations and standards like ICD 705.
Understanding of Security Standards: In-depth knowledge of ICD 705 standards and related security requirements, with the ability to apply these principles effectively throughout all stages of a secure facility design/build construction project.
Communication & Collaboration Skills: Excellent interpersonal skills to work effectively with diverse stakeholders including construction contractors, engineers, architects, and clients. Ability to communicate complex security requirements in a clear and concise manner.
Project Oversight & Leadership: Experience providing hands-on guidance and oversight to architect and engineers, construction teams, and other key stakeholders to ensure projects are compliant with approved designs all required security policies and standards.
Preferred Background: A background in program/project management with an emphasis in the physical and technical security tasks and activities supporting the architecture, design, engineering, and construction of secure facilities is highly desirable.
U.S. Citizenship: Due to the nature of this position and the requirement for access to classified or sensitive information, candidates must be U.S. citizens as defined by federal law.
Physical Requirements: Ability to lift and carry objects weighing up to 25 lbs. Ability to walk, stand, and sit during working hours.
Travel: Willingness and ability to travel as needed for job-related assignments
