Hudson Valley Radiologists, P.C. is seeking a dedicated and skilled Physician Assistant (PA) to join our interventional radiology team in our Rhinebeck and Poughkeepsie locations. About the Role
As a Physician Assistant , you will play a vital role in providing medical services within radiology, including image-guided biopsies, patient evaluation, and interdisciplinary collaboration. What We’re Looking For
- Experience: 2-4 years of experience, with surgical experience preferred.
- Education & Certification:
- Graduate from an ARC-PA accredited physician assistant program.
- Current New York State Physician Assistant License.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certifications.
- Current Registry R.T.(R) (AART) (preferred).
- Hospital privileges/credentialing where IR procedures are performed.
- Skills & Abilities:
- Strong clinical decision-making skills and ability to interpret diagnostic tests.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced medical environment.
- Must be physically capable of meeting the job’s demands, including occasional lifting/pushing up to 50 lbs.
Physician Assistant Responsibilities
- Perform hospital consults and rounds, take patient histories, and conduct physical examinations.
- Assist with radiologic procedures under the supervision of a licensed Radiologist.
- Document patient encounters, status changes, and procedure notes in a timely and accurate manner.
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests, including x-rays and laboratory studies.
- Prescribe medications within the scope of practice and in accordance with the pharmacy formulary.
- Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, nursing staff, and other medical professionals to develop comprehensive treatment plans.
- Communicate effectively and compassionately with patients, families, and caregivers regarding treatment and care plans.
- Maintain adherence to all clinical and institutional policies and procedures.

Pay: $130,000 – $150,000 depending on experience
