Boutique Proctology Surgical Practice seeking Advanced Practice Provider - Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner with previous GI or related specialty experience required. The candidate will have a strong combination of manual dexterity, clinical skills, management abilities and integrity. The ideal candidate will feel comfortable performing in office procedures.
We invite you to join our team of exceptional healthcare professionals using state-of-the-art diagnostic and treatment modalities. The Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner will be closely working with our Board Certified Proctologic Surgeon in an outpatient setting, initially receiving didactic educational training followed by hands-on procedural training.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Independently obtains a relevant health and medical history
Performs a physical examination based on age and history and maintain accurate medical records, if needed with the assistance of our Proctologic Surgeon
Performs and/or orders preventive, diagnostic and therapeutic procedures based on the patient’s age, symptoms and history
Performs Anoscopic Examinations, administers various Hemorrhoid Treatments, performs in office procedures such as excision of thrombosed external hemorrhoids and incision and drainage of perianal abscesses.
Identifies health and medical risk factors accurately in order to choose the appropriate treatment modality
QUALIFICATIONS:
Prior Colorectal Surgery, Gastroenterology, Proctology Experience
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $72.00 - $82.00 per hour
