    Position Summary

    The Physician Assistant (PA) provides high-quality medical care under the supervision of a licensed physician. The PA will conduct patient examinations, order and interpret diagnostic tests, develop treatment plans, prescribe medications, and assist in procedures. This role requires strong clinical judgment, communication skills, and a commitment to patient-centered care in a fast-paced medical environment.

    Essential Duties

    • Perform comprehensive patient assessments, including history and physical examinations.
    • Diagnose and treat acute and chronic illnesses in collaboration with supervising physicians.
    • Order and interpret diagnostic tests (labs, imaging, etc.) and follow up on results.
    • Develop and manage treatment plans tailored to individual patient needs.
    • Educate patients on conditions, treatment plans, medications, and preventive care.
    • Assist in office procedures, minor surgeries, and biopsies as needed.
    • Document all patient encounters accurately and in a timely manner within the EMR system.
    • Prescribe medications within scope of practice and follow appropriate guidelines.
    • Monitor and manage post-procedure recovery and treatment follow-ups.
    • Maintain professional and effective communication with patients, families, and staff.
    • Participate in team meetings, clinical reviews, and quality improvement initiatives.
    • Ensure compliance with HIPAA, OSHA, and other relevant healthcare regulations.

    Qualifications

    • Master's degree from an accredited Physician Assistant program.
    • Current PA license in the state of practice.
    • Certification by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA).
    • DEA license and prescriptive authority (or ability to obtain).
    • 1–2 years of clinical experience preferred (dermatology experience is a plus).
    • Current BLS and/or ACLS certification.
    • Strong clinical, communication, and documentation skills.
    • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team setting.
    • Proficiency in using EMR systems and basic computer skills.
    • Bilingual preferred but not required.

    Physical Requirements

    • Ability to stand or sit for extended periods.
    • May require occasional lifting of equipment or patients (up to 50 lbs).
    • Frequent walking, bending, and reaching as part of clinical duties.
