    Contract: 6 Months

    Position Summary:

    Informatics – Physician/APP performs at an expert level as a knowledgeable practitioner, consultant, educator and evaluator promoting best practice workflows. Contributes to SGHS’ shared organizational vision of clinical, quality, regulatory and financial outcomes through education, utilizing teaching methods to meet the needs of diverse learners. Provides education, assistance and technical support, serving as a liaison assessing current practice and translation of end user needs to support provider practice, administration, education and research. Collects, analyzes and disseminates data to assess the environment and forecast trends.

     

    Responsibilities:

    • Assists in the design and implementation of educational programs, supporting end-user training including onboarding and just-in-time education by promoting active learning and engagement.
    • Collects pertinent information related to potential informatics and performance improvement needs of the provider.
    • Incorporates professional standards and evidence-based information into informatics tools.
    • Leads provider informatics, clinical practice and quality improvement initiatives.
    • Incorporates evidence-based practice initiatives, quality improvement approaches, and the use of decision support through clinical informatics.
    • Responsible for quality of clinical documentation structure, including compliances with regulatory and quality indicators.
    • Uses creative strategies to enhance application of critical thinking; assists with the development and communication of strategy to improve the quality and functionality of the EMR.
    • First point of contact for daily operational issues within the EMR; provide diagnosis of errors and troubleshooting of systems; provides education as appropriate.
    • Assists to conduct multidisciplinary feasibility assessments identifying potential areas of system improvements which includes analysis of the current practice and process, technical options and potential impact of improvement options on workflow.

    Requirements:

    • Bachelor’s Degree in related area required.
    • 4 years utilizing Oracle Health/Cerner’s Millennium Clinically Driven Revenue Cycle build tools required.
    • Current license/certification in clinical, financial or ancillary area, if appropriate.
