    Position Summary:

    The Director of Pickleball Operations oversees all the “on court” pickleball programming and other key business initiatives for Genesis Health Clubs. Leaders in this role are responsible for preparing, planning, and implementing pickleball program initiatives and monitoring their progress to completion. This role ensures optimal court utilization through various programming and offerings. This position will collaborate with the Atlantic Management Team, Tennis Director and work closely with the National Tennis Director and to address coverage, support, and other critical business needs. The job requires general knowledge in management, human services, strong growth and programming experience in Pickleball or a related field.

    Typical Duties:

    • Develop an effective plan of action for running the company’s pickleball programs from inception to completion. This includes all offerings, open plays, contract court time, or other events at Genesis Health Clubs.

    • Create, develop, and implement ongoing successful leagues for all levels of play.

    • Strategically map out, one month in advance, a court programming schedule for the Ops Director to optimize court utilization.

    • Perform daily checks one week out to ensure courts are optimized and create & experiment with new profitable programs for customers.

    • Learn & become effective in our online platform to schedule events, run reports, and work efficiently with the Tennis Director / National Tennis Director.

    • Suggest innovative plans and processes to improve programming and other Genesis Health Clubs offerings.

    • Assist local operations & front staff in keeping the courts and facility clean for our customers.

    • Suggest and help create marketing initiatives to increase awareness of your location and drive membership.

    • Handle walk-in potential members, provide information about the facility, and hand them off to the front desk to register.

    • Track, record, and compile performance data with management on a monthly basis.

    • Handle emails & calls relating to outsourced event court requests in conjunction with the National Tennis Director to optimize court utilization and offerings.

    • Engage with the local pickleball community both in person & online to further promote your location.

    • Act as a Genesis Health Clubs Brand Ambassador when traveling for tournaments or other pickleball events.

    • Regularly engage with players on our courts to ensure their needs are met and get to know your customers, especially regular ones, to anticipate their needs.

    • Provide strategic vision and strong leadership while directing programs.

    • Attend and actively participate in weekly management meetings.

    • Ensure programs always support and advance the company's mission.

    • Perform other duties as assigned.

    Position Summary:

    Responsible for the overall management of the pickleball program. Coordinates open play times and manages pickleball programming, including but not limited to, leagues, clinics, and events. Promotes pickleball offerings and handles administrative tasks related to programming, such as scheduling, billing, and communication.

    Job Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Coordinate Pickleball Open Play and establish open play times.

    • Manage Pickleball Leagues and Events for the club, including organizing teams and matches, scheduling, assigning members to appropriate levels, handling payments and billing, and ensuring scores/levels are accurate in league software.

    • Update pickleball club marketing materials with programming information.

    • Promote pickleball offerings through specific communication with current clients.

    • Strong familiarity with Facebook and Instagram.

    • Ability to qualify, recruit, and manage instructors.

    Minimum Qualifications:

    • Two (2) or more years of experience as a program director with emphasis on participative and revenue growth.

    • Strong management, leadership, and business skills.

    • Proficient in using Microsoft Suite (Excel, Outlook, etc.).

    • Organized and detail-oriented.

    • Exceptional communication skills, both oral and written.

    • Ability to establish priorities and solve a wide range of business problems.

    • Demonstrated customer service skills, common sense, problem-solving, and analytical skills.

    • Flexibility to respond to changing work priorities and handle numerous projects at a time.

    Educational Requirements:

    • Bachelor’s degree in management, human services, or a related field. A comparable combination of formal education and work experience will be considered.

    • High level of Pickleball experience both playing & coaching/instructing.

    Physical Requirements:

    • Viewing computer screen/monitor

    • Utilizing keyboard

    • Answering/making phone calls

    • Prolonged walking, standing, kneeling, bending, etc. as required
