SHORT-TERM RENTAL OPERATIONS ASSISTANT

DEERFIELD BEACH ISLAND, FL

WHO WE ARE:

Pier Walk on Deerfield Beach is a boutique short-term rental (STR) management company run by a family business with real estate in NY and Florida valued over $15M. Our South Florida hub is comprised of three individual owner/managers, based in the Fort Lauderdale area, where we manage assets that are commercial, commercial-residential and short-term rental properties.

We are looking to add three Short-Term Rental Operations Assistant superstars (STR-OA) to our Deerfield Beach location. In this essential role, you will be responsible for assisting in the day-to-day operations of our 20 Deerfield Beach STR apartments, which are part of a 20-unit complex on the Deerfield Beach Barrier Island. WHAT YOU'LL DO:

The Short-Term Rental Operations Assistant (STR-OA) is responsible for assisting the Short-Term Rental Operations Managers with all Pier Walk on Deerfield Beach (PWDB) home services. The STR-OA will assist in the operations for all aspects of home care for all 20 listings and is partially responsible for the performance of those properties with the goal of (1) maximizing listing reviews while offering a world-class hospitality experience for guests, (2) streamlining our quality control practices, and (3) lowering the percentage of guest issues per booking. The STR-OA will need to be able to respond swiftly without delay and complications when required. If you can’t pick up and go on an on-call evening or weekend to solve a problem when necessary, then this is not the right role for you.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• • Quality control visits: Pre/post cleaning inspections of apartments and common areas (including the pool, washers/dryers, TVs, appliances, and wifi checks); inventory and stocking of supplies for guests and staff; inspecting, sorting, and storing laundry
    • Stage furniture and amenities according to the listings to ensure accuracy
    • Immediately report any damages, necessary repairs, and/or replacements to the Short-Term Rental Operations Manager (STR-OM)
    • Communicate directly with the STR-OM and/or the owners to solve any issues at the property in a professional and time-efficient manner
    • Arrange for drop-off and pick-up of all linens, except blankets, to the laundromat (i.e. bath towels, beach towels, sheets, kitchen towels, etc.) prior to the next round of check-outs/check-ins
    • Work with cleaning staff to regularly inspect mattresses and maintain cleanliness of mattress and pillow encasements
    • Assist the cleaning staff with the on-site spot-cleaning and washing of blankets during turnovers
    • Ability to work independently in the field, sometimes with little supervision
    • Take photos prior to each check-in and submit Google forms after each quality control or pre-cleaning visit.

WHAT YOU'LL BRING:

    • High school diploma required
    • Fluency in English required; conversational Spanish a plus
    • 1-3 years of work experience required
    • Experience in hospitality, property management, customer service, or the service industry is a plus
    • Must be open to constructive feedback and strive for growth
    • Problem-solving and customer service focused mentality is a must
    • Must be experienced and savvy with technology
    • Must be willing to be on call
    • Must be able to travel to properties in Deerfield Beach regularly, mostly in the early afternoons
    • Live no more than 40 minutes’ drive away from the property in Deerfield Beach
