    We are looking for a Pizzaiolo to join our team!

    Pizzeria Verità is looking for experienced Pizzaioli at our lively downtown Burlington restaurant. As a Pizzaiolo (pizza cook) at Pizzeria Verità, you’re right in the middle of the action because your main responsibility is making our Neapolitan pizzas! You'll work side by side with colleagues at the pizza oven, expertly pushing out dough, topping with just the right amount of toppings and flash baking the pizza at 900°F in our imported Acunto oven. The end result is the mind-blowingly delicious authentic Neapolitan pizza that keeps folks coming back again and again!

    Responsibilities:

    Ensure that pizzas are just exactly perfect by constantly monitoring the amount of toppings, oven temperature and condition of the finished pizzas

    Inspect and clean food preparation areas, such as equipment and work surfaces or serving areas to ensure safe and sanitary food-handling practices

    Having previous experience as a cook, you can manage multiple priorities at once

    Ensure freshness of food and ingredients by checking for quality, labeling and dating stored foods, keeping track of old and new items and rotating stock

    Season and cook food according to recipes

    Respond to guest and staff feedback and requests with appropriate urgency and professionalism

    Qualifications:

    Previous experience with wood-fired pizza and restaurant cooking preferred

    ServeSafe or Food Handler’s certification (or must be willing to attain)

    Effective communication skills

    Ability to lift 30+ lbs.

    Ability to work standing for 6+ hours
