    Our client, a premier plaintiff's personal injury law firm, is seeking a mid to senior-level Litigation Associate/Attorney to join their dynamic team, with a focus on maritime law and federal court litigation. This position is suited for an attorney who excels in managing comprehensive caseloads from intake through trial, adept at handling complex legal issues and advocating vigorously for clients.

    The firm specializes in a wide array of serious injury claims, including car accidents, premises liability, and crime victim cases, with a growing emphasis on maritime law, representing injured cruise ship passengers, crew members, and other individuals with serious and catastrophic injury claims. With many many years in practice, the firm has established a reputation for aggressive and effective litigation. Candidates are expected to have a strong presence in federal court. Preference will be given to applicants with federal clerkship experience, top-tier law school credentials, and law review participation.

    Responsibilities:

    • Manage a diverse caseload including maritime personal injury and routine injury cases, from inception to resolution.

    • Draft and file pleadings, motions, discovery requests, and legal briefs in both state and federal courts.

    • Conduct depositions, attend court hearings, and argue motions.

    • Engage in settlement negotiations, mediations, and arbitrations.

    • Maintain close communication with clients, providing updates and legal counsel.

    • Collaborate with medical experts, accident reconstructionists, and other specialists to develop compelling case theories.

    • Prepare for and potentially lead trials.

    Qualifications:

    • Holds a J.D. from an accredited law school and an active bar membership in Florida.

    • Possesses 3+ years of litigation experience, specifically in plaintiffs’ personal injury and maritime law.

    • Experienced in both state and federal court litigation, with required admissions to federal district courts.

    • Exhibits strong research, writing, and oral advocacy skills.

    • Capable of managing a high-volume caseload in a fast-paced environment.

    • Passionate about fighting for the rights of injured individuals and committed to achieving the best outcomes for clients.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Prior experience in handling cruise ship injury claims, Jones Act, and general maritime law cases.

    • Experience with a broad spectrum of personal injury cases, including motor vehicle collisions, medical malpractice, premises liability, crime victims, and wrongful death claims.

    • Demonstrated trial experience, including significant roles in court.

    • Bilingual skills, particularly in Spanish, though not mandatory.
