Responsibilities
About the Operations Assistant Role:
As our Operations Assistant, you will be responsible for the overseeing all member excellence, , some coaching training and mentoring staff and the inventory operations. You will be accountable for help to create an amazing work environment that supports the culture of the organization and drives member engagement. It is a big plus if you enjoy being apart of our club culture which is to make certain everyone has an excellent experience.
Your responsibilities include:
Assist the General Manager with team schedules; ensuring all shifts are covered, and provide back up support as needed.
Assist the coordination of onboarding new team members.
Assist in overseeing the Black Card Spa and the member experience.
Assist in managing retail and club supplies inventory.
Assist in emergency situations.
Assist in inspiring others with professionalism
Assist the General Manager with team member performance; and help provide feedback to you team members.
Daily responsibilities for the Operations Manager also include:
Promote our Judgement Free Zone® by connecting with members on the club floor, offering assistance and showing support in their fitness journeys while upholding club policies.
Sales: Perform membership related sales functions as relates to promotion, enrollment, touring,
Execute retail transactions with accuracy and drive sales goals.
Service: Navigation the website and mobile app, answer phones, provide tours, assessing, reviewing contracts/billing information, cancellations, collecting unpaid balances and transferring membership
Resolve escalated member concerns and partner with the General Manager when needed.
Sanitation: Oversee staff, consistent cleaning and sanitizing of all exercise equipment and Black Card spa amenities. This includes communal spaces as well as your assigned area.
Assist to create and enforce all cleaning and sanitizing assignments for team members and follow up on quality and completion of the work.
Frequently perform a comprehensive walk of all club areas, and promptly address maintenance and facility concerns the Maintenance team.
Qualifications
About Your Qualifications:
2+ years customer excellence experience.
2+ years of experience leading and supervising an experienced team.
Must be 18 years of age or older.
Must be within 5 miles of Planet Fitness location.
Physical Demands of the Club Manager:
Continual standing and moving throughout the club to accomplish tasks during shift.
Continual communicating in person or on the phone to exchange information during shift.
Must be able to lift up to 75 pounds.
Will encounter toxic chemicals during shift.
Frequent cleaning and sanitizing of equipment and facilities.
Moving self in different positions, including bending and twisting, to accomplish tasks.
