    What You'll Be Doing

    As the Field Marketing Manager, you’ll support the Director of Membership Growth and the Marketing Team by driving local awareness, acquisition, and retention through local initiatives and events.

    The Field Marketing Manager will assist with the development and execution of local tactics in our clubs and around our communities. Our vision for our clubs is that they reflect and support their communities while providing a health and wellness journey for our members that sustains mutual growth.

    This candidate will combine creative thinking with a performance-based marketing approach. They will provide field marketing support for hyperlocal tactics.

    · Develop and execute field marketing campaigns with the goal of increasing brand awareness, leads, and sales.

    · Create a calendar of marketing activities and initiatives with the Director of Membership Growth and Regional Director.

    · Lead and help to execute marketing strategies and tactics in partnership with operations.

    · Assist and participate in presale and club opening sales efforts.

    · Plan, design, and assist with radio remote events.

    · Develop understanding of local area signage parameters and creating and implementing strategic signage plan for each club location.

    · Review and improve local marketing collateral.

    · Manage the distribution of marketing collateral for the region. · Design and manage events that promote awareness and brand loyalty.

    · Create community partnerships with local business, organizations, and associations.

    · Visit and interact with clubs to crowdsource opportunities and tactics.

    · Build & coordinate communication strategy to support events working with local PR teams, etc.

    · Keep abreast of industry trends, competition, and new opportunities.

    · Gather and report competitor intelligence to Operations and Marketing teams.

    · Analyze and report on the performance and efficiency of campaigns across multiple markets.

    · Visit and interact with clubs to crowdsource opportunities and tactics.

    · Keep consistent communication amongst operations and the marketing team through weekly and monthly reports.

    · Responsible for managing and maintaining the field marketing budget as well as providing KPI’s for the field marketing tactics.

    · Develop a deep understanding of the Planet Fitness customer and the best ways to reach them through non-traditional, field marketing exercises, including events, networking venues, communities both on and offline, content distribution vehicles and more.

    Required Qualifications

    · Minimum of 4 years of management experience overseeing multiple locations.

    · Someone who’s worked in the fitness industry previously and has an interest in fitness.

    · Experience with demand generation activities such as grand openings, guerilla, marketing, street marketing, and community engagement.

    · Strong communication skills, both verbally and in writing, for interacting with employees, management, customers, and vendors.

    · Excellent relationship building and influencing skills with people at all levels and in all functions.

    · Previous experience delivering excellent customer service and training.

    · Excellent MS Office skills, particularly Excel.

    · Strong detail orientation; systematic and thorough approach to problem solving; and good time management, organizational, and record-keeping skills.

    · Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing, Sales, or a related field Desired Qualifications

    · High degree of organization and the ability to work across the organization at multiple levels

    · Outgoing, self-starter with a passion for marketing and a positive can-do attitude

    · Skilled in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)

    · Budget management

    · Experience in the subscription services space is a plus.

    · Familiarity with franchise operations and franchise marketing.

    · Comfortable with public-speaking and facilitating large group sessions.
