  • Responsibilities
    • Prepare and deliver periodic reports covering operational and financial performance, including evaluations, forecasts, annual plans, strategic and capacity plans, and any other ad hoc reports as requested by management.
    • Oversee the preparation of financial statements, including monthly, quarterly, and annual profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and capital budgets.
    • Lead the budgeting and forecasting process for plant operations, including spearheading quarterly re-forecasts.
    • Conduct monthly variance analyses to compare financial results against budgets and forecasts, examining factors such as material usage, labor costs, spending, and purchase prices.
    • Participate in and prepare for weekly plant metrics calls with Corporate and monthly financial reporting calls.
    • Ensure robust internal controls are maintained at the plant level.
    • Analyze customer profitability to assist in assessing customer value.
    • Drive efficiency improvements in the facility, focusing on administrative processes, computer system implementations, and operational procedures.
    • Maintain standard cost systems to ensure accuracy and consistency.
    • Monitor and follow up on inventory cycle counts to achieve the highest possible level of inventory accuracy.
    • Collaborate with the Plant Manager and Corporate operations personnel to control and forecast costs, addressing critical costing issues and deviations from budget or forecast.
    • Review plant operations and financial performance regularly with the Plant Manager and Corporate operations team, recommending and implementing corrective actions to enhance plant performance.
    • Conduct ad hoc analyses and special projects as required by Corporate Finance or Operations personnel.
    • Manage plant cash operations, including accounts receivable collections and accounts payable disbursements.
    • Supervise and manage plant accounting and administrative staff to ensure effective team performance.
    • Ensure compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) in all company accounting procedures.
