    Title: Plant Engineer and Maintenance Lead

    Location: Lehigh Valley area, PA

    Reports to: Director of Operations

    Job Summary

    A Plant Engineer plays a vital role in ensuring the efficient operation and maintenance of a manufacturing facility. They are responsible for designing, developing, installing, and maintaining the plant's equipment, machinery, and systems. The Plant Engineer works closely with other engineers, technicians, and managers to ensure that the production process is safe, reliable, and cost-effective.

    Essential Duties & Responsibilities

    • Design and develop new equipment, machinery, and systems for the plant.
    • Install and test new equipment and systems to ensure they meet the plant's specifications.
    • Oversee the maintenance and repair of the plant's equipment and machinery.
    • Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs to reduce downtime and prevent breakdowns.
    • Analyze production and maintenance data to identify opportunities for improvement.
    • Work with other engineers and technicians to troubleshoot and resolve technical problems.
    • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards.
    • Manage projects and coordinate with other departments to ensure timely completion of projects.
    • Manage budgets for equipment, maintenance, and projects.

    Qualifications & Competencies

    • Strong knowledge of engineering principles and practices.
    • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
    • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office and other engineering software tools.

    Education & Experience

    • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or electrical engineering.
    • Professional Engineer (PE) License preferred.
    • At least 10 years of experience in plant engineering or maintenance.
    • Experience in manufacturing or industrial environment.
