Job Description/Duties/Responsibilities:
Why is the Plant Manager important to us? We are looking for a Plant Manager who will be responsible for overseeing the manufacturing process in our additive production facility. This role offers the chance to drive production operations, personnel leadership, and continuous improvement initiatives within a growing organization that values safety, expertise, and quality.
The Plant Manager will be responsible for managing day-to-day manufacturing operations, scheduling, and quality control, while optimizing processes to meet production goals. You will lead a team focused on efficiency and safety, and collaborate with cross-functional departments to ensure smooth production workflows that meet stringent quality standards.
In this role, you will:
? Develop and implement production schedules and workflows for an additive manufacturing environment
? Direct day-to-day plant operations to meet demand, ensuring efficiency and adherence to deadlines
? Lead and mentor production teams, including recruitment, training, and performance management
? Oversee quality control procedures, inspections, and any necessary corrective actions to maintain or exceed standards
? Foster a safe work environment by enforcing safety policies, training sessions, and compliance checks
? Identify areas for process improvement and implement lean manufacturing principles to boost productivity and reduce costs
? Manage resources effectively, including raw materials, finished goods, and equipment maintenance
? Prepare regular production reports and documentation for senior management
Minimum Skills/Mandatory Skills/Experience Needed for Hire: You might be a good fit if (you have/are):
? 5+ years of experience in production/plant management or a related role; additive manufacturing experience is a plus but not required
? High School Diploma or GED (Degree in Engineering preferred)
? CAD proficiency (Solidworks or Materialise Magics preferred)
? Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles, quality control, and continuous improvement methodologies
? Strong leadership, team management, and problem-solving skills
? Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
? Discrete or Small Batch Manufacturing experience a plus
