PPS is currently seeking a qualified Plant Manager in its Phoenix, Arizona facility.
Reporting to the VP of Operations, the Plant Manager has direct responsibility to safely lead and to manage all operational aspects of the facility including purchasing, shipping, maintenance, fabrication, extrusion, anodizing, and paint. They will also be involved in all major company initiatives.
Responsibilities:
- Create Ops KPIs regarding safety, production, and quality to ensure close monitoring and improvement
- Main P.O.C. for operations, collaborating with all departments to develop and execute strategies that optimize operations and deliver results.
- Develop, implement, and maintain training and development programs.
- Monitor all operations and ensure action is taken to protect the health and welfare of our employees and our environment.
- Work with department managers to ensure appropriate scheduling and availability of resources such that customer requirements are continuously met.
- Ensure that all elements of Quality Management System are being followed.
- Assist in the development and execution of operating and capital budgets.
- Work with technical team to conceptualize, develop, test, and implement cutting edge technology.
- Ensures compliance in all OHSA, Environmental and compliance related issues.
- Work with the President, Vice President and sales to proactively prepare operations for growth.
- Participate as an active member of the Senior Leadership Team providing wisdom, insight, and a commitment to collaborate, communicate & coordinate strategy to the Phoenix team.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or other relevant discipline from an accredited institution.
- Minimum of 10 years managerial experience in a manufacturing / plant environment.
- Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.

- Familiarity with business compliance requirements
- Experience in successfully developing strong teams and strong relationships with internal stake holders, suppliers, customers, and other key business partners.
- Experience in strategic planning and optimization of resources
- Experience with plant expansions, upgrades, and renovations
- Experience in managing safety, quality, productivity, and cost in a capital-intensive operation.
- Experience and training in Lean and Six Sigma concepts
- Proven ability to Lead, to Collaborate and to Execute
Preferred:
- MBA / MS advanced degree
- Experienced in extrusion and extrusion finishing processes.
