Description
The Platform Administrator will be responsible for the configuration, maintenance, and optimization of our technology platforms to ensure they meet our clients' needs and provide exceptional service reliability. This role requires a strong background in IT infrastructure management, a deep understanding of various technology platforms, and excellent problem- solving skills. This role also demands an eagerness from the incumbent to automate recurring tasks through various methods, for example, scripting repeatable technical tasks and procedures using various scripting tools and languages. Examples may include SQL, PowerShell, PowerApps, etc. The Platform Administrator will report to the Platform Manager.
We are looking for talent who are physically located in Madison/Milwaukee, WI or Denver, CO to support our business. While this is a great opportunity to gain more experience with Platform Administrator role at Applied Tech, you will also be able to work from home, M-F.
Primary Responsibilities
Platform Configuration: Configure and maintain technology platforms, including servers, networks, and cloud-based infrastructure, to meet internal and client requirements and industry best practices.
Performance Optimization: Monitor platform performance and adjust as necessary to ensure optimal performance and availability.
Security Management: Implement and maintain security measures to protect client data and systems, including application configurations, access controls, and regular security audits.
Backup and Disaster Recovery: Develop and maintain backup and disaster recovery plans to ensure data integrity and business continuity.
Patch Management: Apply patches and updates to ensure that platforms are up to date and protected against vulnerabilities.
Troubleshooting and Issue Resolution: Identify and resolve platform-related issues promptly, minimizing downtime and service interruptions.
Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive documentation of platform configurations, procedures, and best practices.
Client Support: Provide technical support to internal and clients requests, addressing their platform-related inquiries and issues in a timely and professional manner.
Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including technical support, engineering, and sales, to deliver exceptional service to clients.
