About the Role: Are you a compassionate and dedicated Child Therapist with a specialization in play therapy? We are looking for someone like you to join our team in a community-based setting in Washington, DC! In this part-time role, you'll have the opportunity to make a lasting impact on childrenβs emotional and behavioral well-being, using the power of play therapy to help them overcome challenges and thrive.
π Key Responsibilities:
π² Provide play therapy to children to address emotional, developmental, and behavioral concerns.
π§Έ Conduct thorough assessments and collaborate with families to develop individualized treatment plans.
π§ Utilize evidence-based play therapy techniques to help children process their emotions and build coping skills.
π¬ Communicate effectively with caregivers, offering guidance and support to enhance treatment outcomes.
π Maintain accurate and timely documentation, in compliance with organizational and regulatory standards.
π€ Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to provide holistic care for children and their families.
π Qualifications:
π Masterβs degree in counseling, social work, psychology, or a related field.
ποΈ Active licensure in Washington, DC (LPC, LGPC, LGSW, or LICSW).
π οΈ Specialized training and experience in play therapy.
π¬ Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
π A passion for working with children and their families in a community setting.
π Schedule:
Part-time only, with flexible hours during office hours: Monday β Friday, 9:00 AM β 6:00 PM.
