We are seeking a committed team member to join our team in Leesburg, FL as a Plumber's Assistant for our Commercial and Multi-family Unit Divisions, specializing in new construction projects. The perfect candidate will possess hands-on experience with plumbing tools and machinery. Responsibilities: Job responsibilities include but are not limited to: • Packing and sorting plumbing equipment for each job • Locating pipe leaks and preparing the work area • Fetching tools, truck stock, and equipment • Cutting open walls and structures to expose pipes • Assisting Plumber with plumbing installations and repairs • Measuring, cutting, and threading pipes • Digging and compaction of dirt work and trenches • Other duties as directed by the plumber • Spending time learning from peers and from other more senior employees Qualifications: • Hard-working, willing to learn and to be trained • Vocational training or professional construction experience or in maintenance is helpful • The preferred candidate also has advanced mechanical skills, physical dexterity, basic mathematical skills, and strong attention to detail • Basic knowledge of tools common to plumbing and construction • Active listening skills, able to understand plumber's instructions and act upon them intelligently and efficiently • Valid driver's license • Ability to pass a drug test • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs • Ability to work on uneven surfaces • Ability to stand, bend, or walk for long periods of time • Ability to work outside in all kinds of weather Compensation: $15 - $18 hourly
