We are seeking a Plumbing Estimator to add to our growing team! As a crucial part of our Mechanical Department, the Plumbing Estimator plays a pivotal role in our operations. They are responsible for accurately estimating the costs related to plumbing projects, including materials, labor, and equipment. This role involves analyzing project specifications, collaborating with project managers, production team and ensuring that all estimates align with industry standards and company objectives.
The pay range for this role is $70,000 - $80,000 per year, based on experience. Travel to various projects for estimating is required. In this role, you will be required to....
Conduct site visits and analyze project blueprints, specifications, and other documentation.
Develop detailed labor, materials, permits, and equipment cost estimates.
Utilize industry-standard estimating software (Accubid/Bluebeam).
Research current market prices for materials and labor.
Collaborate with sales teams and project managers to ensure estimates meet project requirements.
Clearly communicate estimates and proposals to clients, answering questions and addressing concerns.
Maintain accurate and organized records of all estimates.
Stay up to date on plumbing codes and regulations.
Qualified candidates will have....
High School Diploma or equivalent is required. Post-Secondary education or additional formal education in the trades industry is a plus.
Valid driver's license with a clean driving record (no major violations the past 5-years).
Minimum two years of experience in plumbing estimating or a related field in Wisconsin.
Strong understanding of plumbing systems and materials, as well as Wisconsin plumbing codes.
Excellent reading comprehension and ability to interpret blueprints and technical documents.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel a must).
A current, unrestricted license is a plus.
Computer Skills:
PC proficiency is required, with experience in Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel and Outlook
Reasoning Ability:
Requires the ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables. Can interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Mathematical Skills:
Must be able to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Language Skills:
Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills. Requires mastery of business English language skills to read, analyze, and interpret information, policies and procedures, and/or governmental regulations. Able to write reports and business correspondence.
Physical Demands:
While performing the duties of this job, the Employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The Employee is frequently required to sit, stand, walk, and use hands. The Employee may occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds of weight. Specific vision abilities this job requires include close vision and the ability to adjust focus.
