Responsibilities: About the Role: The Operations Manager is a member of the Barker & Sons Leadership Team, reporting directly to the Integrator/Chief Operating Officer; harmonizing the selling, scheduling, and completion of all plumbing services through leadership, management, and accountability of our technicians, dispatch, and sales teams and processes. This role supervises our Field Services & Sales Support teams and drives effective and profitable daily operations through direct leadership, process improvement, sales coaching, and the use of key data and metrics to identify issues, enhance accountability, and drive performance. Key to success is the ability to manage teams delivering plumbing home services and achieving effective sales conversion. Job Duties: • Lead, manage, and be accountable for the performance and results of the Operations Team. • Build and continuously enhance relationships with the Leadership Team and direct reports, and department teams. • Establish strong cross-functional communication and collaboration across all departments to include service, install, operations, call center, dispatch, warehouse, finance, and marketing. • Directly manage the Installation, Drains, & Plumbing Field Service Managers. Provide input on screening, selecting, and management of employees and as required, and in alignment with company objectives. • Accountable for training and execution of sales service system and coordination of operations with with call center and dispatch operations. • Oversee the creation, implementation, and adherence to core operations processes. • Oversee our “sell, schedule, do” end-to-end process to optimize employee satisfaction, customer satisfaction, and company profitability. • Continually identify areas of opportunity for team and individual coaching across all functional areas of responsibility to include sales conversion, scheduling processes, and field operations. • Implement Nexstar Network best practices for Sales, Service, Install, Call Center, Dispatch and other applicable functions ensuring tools and processes are in place to track performance metrics and obtain objectives. Qualifications: Required • Fluent understanding of Home Service Plumbing Systems and Operations. • Proven team leader, experienced in managing multiple functions and direct reports. • Experience with Home Services field and office operations. • Strong understanding of small business P&L and cash flow drivers. • Detail-focused, self-starter that gets things done. • Strong written and verbal communication skills. • Ability to distill important numbers and convey a strategic view of performance. • Technologically savvy, learns and implements new software and systems quickly. • Experienced with Home Services Industry software, CRMs, Excel, and MS Office Suite. • Adept at creating and improving processes, systems, and sales performance. • Able to work out of our Orange County office daily. Preferred • Ability to use financial metrics to accurately read, diagnose, and coach business performance. • Strong technical understanding of plumbing service products and solutions. • 3-5 years within a Plumbing/Home Services company. • Proven sales management track record. Desired • Experience within a Nexstar Network Home Services Company. • Completion of Home Services management and/or sales training systems. • Bachelor’s Degree in Business or related fields. Compensation: $130,000 annually + bonus for OTE
