Job Description

Pay Rate: $28.50 per hour.

(Additional $1.00 per hour for hours worked between 7:00pm and 11:59pm. Additional $2.00 per hour for hours worked between 12:00am-4:59am)

• Analyze and repair plumbing malfunctions.
• Work from blueprints/schematics to perform maintenance/repair or install equipment.
• Report (in writing) materials and replacements parts needed for jobs.
• Direct/instruct subordinate employees still requiring training (e.g., plumbers, Classes B and C).
• Prepare layout of plumbing systems.
• Determine proper size/specifications of pipes, valves, manifolds, etc., and perform plumbing maintenance on miscellaneous items such as drain systems, devices, pumps, manifolds, backflows, etc.
• Inspect mixing vales, backflow filters, and manifolds and make preventative and/or running repairs/corrections as required.
• Install, connect, adjust, and calibrate (i.e., temperature, flow, pressure, etc.) plumbing gauges, meters, etc.
• General cleaning and/or assisting other crews if required.
• Maintaining safety, housekeeping, and sanitation and disease control requirements while performing job duties.

Qualifications

• Must have a minimum of 4 years of training on the job and/or formal schooling.
• Must be able to pass a Plumber level A test.
• Must be able to work with a minimum of supervision and complete work in a timely and effcient manner.
• Must have good interpersonal and communication skills.
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
• Must be able to work from a ladder.
• Must have and maintain a California driver's license and an acceptable DMV record.
