We are seeking a collaborative and results-driven leader to manage a team of top-performing field technicians at Barker & Sons Plumbing. As an integral part of our Operations Team, the Service Manager will oversee the coordination of plumbing services' sales, scheduling, and execution. By providing guidance, direction, and support to our technicians, this role ensures the consistent application of industry best practices. Success in this position hinges on effective team leadership, process enhancement, sales coaching, and leveraging data-driven insights to identify and tackle obstacles, ultimately fostering enhanced performance. Responsibilities: • Lead, manage and build team camaaderie ensuring accountability for their performance and results. • Train and coach technicians in sewer sales, and installation processes, emphasizing the use of technology and established workflows for consistent support. • Drive team performance to achieve productivity and conversion goals, utilizing sales and operations data to provide targeted coaching and feedback. • Ensure technicians consistently deliver 5-star customer experiences aligned with Barker & Sons home services proven process. • Conduct routine ride-along training sessions to boost technician confidence, enhance performance, and support professional growth. • Participate in daily meetings to review data and communicate objectives effectively. • Collaborate with Dispatch to align work assignments with field performance, meet customer needs, and uphold company core values. • Assist in creating and following monthly staffing schedules to maintain regular operations and handle contingency situations. • Act as a liaison between customers, technicians, and staff to address service issues promptly and appropriately. • Lead by example in maintaining a professional appearance and demeanor, ensuring technicians reflect professionalism that customers appreciate. • Uphold Barker & Sons core values, promoting accountability and pride among technicians in maintaining their trucks, tools, parts, and inventory. • Actively recruit and provide input on screening, selecting, and managing technicians in line with core values and objectives. • Establish and maintain a safe working environment, prioritizing personnel safety in all situations. • Seek and integrate performance feedback and coaching from site leadership and Nexstar coaches continuously. Qualifications: • Must have experience leading teams to achieve sales goals and provide excellent customer service, preferably in in-home services, automotive, or a related industry. • Detail-oriented self-starter with strong communication skills and the ability to create and enhance processes and sales strategies. • Proficient in technology adoption, quick to learn and implement new software and systems. • Willingness to work both in-office in Orange County and in the field with technicians. • Possession of a valid (CA) driver’s license and a clean driving record, able to pass a Home Services background check. • Ideally, 2+ years of service management experience, with 2-3 years in Plumbing/Home Services. • Familiarity with Service Titan or similar home services software. • Experience in leading safety programs is a plus. • Prior experience within a Nexstar Network Home Services Company is desired, with strong technical knowledge of plumbing products and services. Compensation: $90,000 - $130,000 yearly + bonus
