Responsibilities: • Install, configure, and maintain POS hardware and software across various client locations. • Conduct regular system diagnostics and preventive maintenance to ensure optimal system performance. • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to POS systems, including hardware malfunctions and software glitches. • Provide technical support, guidance, and training to clients, ensuring clear communication and effective problem-solving. • Collaborate with our team to suggest software improvements and updates based on feedback and observed issues. • Train clients and their staff on the proper use and maintenance of POS systems. • Manage inventory of parts and equipment, ensuring availability of necessary items for repairs and installations. • Document technical procedures, configurations, and support tickets to maintain a knowledge base for internal use and compliance purposes. • Stay up-to-date with the latest POS technologies and security standards to provide informed recommendations to our clients and internal teams. Qualifications: • Associate's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Relevant experience may substitute for the educational requirement. • Proven experience as a POS Technician or in a similar technical support role. • Strong understanding of POS systems, payment processing, and network infrastructure. • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure. • Outstanding customer service and communication skills, both verbal and written. • Ability to travel to client sites as needed. • Familiarity with various operating systems (Windows, Linux, etc.) and programming languages (e.g., Python, Java) is a plus.
