Senior SAS Programmer Analyst (TIDE) (R3687)
Harvard Pilgrim Health Care Institute is currently seeking a highly motivated individual to join the Division of Therapeutics Research and Infectious Disease Epidemiology (TIDE) within the Department of Population Medicine (www.populationmedicine.org) as a Senior SAS Programmer Analyst. TIDE is the home of several large, complex, multi-institutional research initiatives based within health systems using electronic health and administrative claims data that support major national public health activities. Our mission is to improve health care delivery and population health through research and education, in partnership with health plans, delivery systems, and public health agencies. The Senior SAS Programmer Analyst plays a crucial role in supporting key initiatives in TIDE’s portfolio.
The Senior SAS Programmer Analyst will primarily support the Sentinel System (https://www.sentinelinitiative.org/), a program sponsored by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) for monitoring the safety of FDA-regulated medical products. The Senior SAS Programmer Analyst is responsible for managing, coordinating and performing analytic programming-related activities for pharmacoepidemiologic studies and determines appropriate analytic design approaches to surveillance and research projects. The Senior SAS Programmer Analyst also designs and develops SAS programs that are flexible, reusable, scalable, computationally efficient and easily maintainable.
