  • Responsibilities

    GENERAL DESCRIPTION / PRIMARY PURPOSE:

    The Human Resources Coordinator is responsible to provide first class customer service to employees at all levels of the organization. This is a hands-on tactical role that provides support with training, on-boarding, and off-boarding, data management, employment law compliance, benefits, leave administration and special projects as necessary.

    MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS/DUTIES OF THE POSITION:

    • Answer general employee benefits questions and receiving and forwarding group insurance payments as required for auditing purposes.

    • Investigate employee attendance records and issues and assures accuracy of data.

    • Assist with workforce staffing levels and makes recommendations as necessary.

    • Ensure employee inquiries are answered and/or properly routed in a timely manner.

    • Run reports and provide analytics related to people metrics.

    • Perform periodic audits of people data and work with HR Supervisor to correct

    • Provide daily headcount report to management and work with HR Supervisor on recruitment to fill open positions.

    • Assist with coordination of the hourly employment process and new hire packet administration, including pre-employment processing of applicants (screening, referencing, I-9 verification) and completion of written employment verification.

    • Maintain all HR files compliant and audit ready at all times.

    • Maintain spreadsheet of applicant EEO/Affirmative Action Plan data for all hourly positions.

    • Responsible for coordinating recognition and employee engagement programs and events.

    • Support any other special projects as needed

    • Other duties as assigned.

    Required Skills

    ** JOB SPECIFIC COMPETENCIES:**

    • 1-2 years in a Human Resources administrative position required; preferably in Manufacturing Plant environment.

    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, time keeping systems, and HRIS.

    • Ability to work in a high-paced office environment.

    • High level of discretion and excellent judgement.

    • Detail-oriented with execution of employee requests, auditing, file management and performing data entry.

    • High level of initiative with task completion and ability to propose process improvements.

    • Exceptional customer service and communication skills and enjoy working with and for our employees.

    • Excellent multi-tasking and problem-solving skills.

    • Flexible, adaptable and resilient. Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks concurrently; ability to maintain positive working relationships.

    • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written. Ability to communicate with a broad range of the workforce, allowing for flexible and appropriate communication with various levels of employees.

    • Bi-lingual/Bi-literate English and Spanish language skills are required.

    PHYSIC _ AL REQUIREMENTS:_

    • Work is performed in a typical office environment. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, stand, walk, use hands and fingers, handle or feel objects, tools, or controls, talk or hear to communicate, as well as maneuver around an array of equipment, bend, stoop and climb stairs. The employee must occasionally lift (including overhead) and/or up to 15lbs and able to occasionally work in a cold environment and moderate noise.

    WORK HOUR & TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:

    • Ability to work overtime and weekends, based on business needs.

    • No travel required.

    Required Experience

    EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION:

    • Associates degree or equivalent in related field is preferable or applicable experience.

    • PHR certification a plus

    PAY RATE:

    $26.44 - $27.88 Hourly
