  • Responsibilities

    This position will include (but not be limited to) tasks such as setting up pool seating and umbrellas, removing trash and other items from the pool area, and folding and stocking fresh towels. Customer service is crucial in this role as you will also serve a limited menu of food and beverages to our guests. Responsibilities: Pool Attendant Duties & Responsibilities • Maintaining a comprehensive knowledge of the lunch menu is mandatory, including daily specials that may not be available directly on the menu, including knowledge of all various liquors, beer and wines available at Daytona Grande • Knowledgeable of pool facilities such as length and depth of all pools, and how many laps it takes to complete a mile in meters and feet • Set up Pool furniture according to standards • Proactively look for guest service opportunities, and take ownership of requests • "Be the difference" with all guests and employees and do more than just “the norm" • Maintain a professional and positive attitude in difficult situations • Enforce ALL facility policies and rules & policies • Maintain the cleanliness of the pool area (i.e. removal of towels, dishes) and straighten pool furniture at the beginning of each shift, throughout the day and at the end of each shift so that the safety of the members will be protected and the pool area will maintain its inviting image • Break down and set up all pool equipment, cabanas, and umbrellas • Present a small basket of pool amenities, washcloths in crushed ice, lip balm, sunscreen • To ensure that you pay attention to personal hygiene and cleanliness and that you and your area are always well presented and groomed to the hotel & departmental standards (outstanding Impression) • Rescue distressed persons by using rescue techniques and equipment • You will be constantly interacting with all guests on the pool deck Qualifications: Desired skills for pool attendant include: • Knowledge of local area's attractions and entertainment • Using and maintaining recreational equipment • Customer service standards and procedures • Swimming pool practices and procedures • Must be able to lift or carry a minimum of 50 pounds, unassisted, in the performance of specific tasks assigned Desired experience for pool attendant includes: • 2 years minimum customer service experience • Must be willing to work outdoors in seasonal heat or cold inclement weather • Ability to communicate effectively with guests and all levels of employees • Must be able to stand and walk throughout the majority of the shift Licensing or Certifications for Pool Attendant • CPR - company will cover the cost of certification if needed Compensation: $13 - $15 hourly
