    SUMMARY:

    Under the direction of the F & B Manager, is responsible for providing outstanding service of food and beverages to owners and guests.

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

    Essential functions as defined are ILLUSTRATIVE ONLY and not a comprehensive listing of all functions and duties performed by incumbents within this classification. Essential duties and responsibilities may include, but are not limited to, the following:

    • Greet owners and guests with Aloha as they arrive at the pool and present them with menus and ordering options. Answers questions, and makes suggestions regarding food and service
    • Have thorough knowledge and understanding of menu items and regularly requested beverages, including ingredients, preparations methods to be able answer questions and make recommendations
    • Accurately take food and beverage orders. Note any dietary restrictions and special requests. Submit orders through food and beverage point-of-sale system or other method as directed by management.
    • Accurately and clearly relay orders to kitchen and bars.
    • Deliver orders promptly and professionally, ensuring proper presentation of garnishes, plate decoration, and quality
    • Keep poolside and dining areas clean and organized, including cleaning tables, picking up debris, and resetting areas for new guests.
    • Monitor guest dining to respond to additional requests and determine when to clear items and when the guest has completed their drink/meal.
    • Process guest checks and handle payments through food and beverage point-of-sale system or other method as directed by management.
    • Perform all necessary preparation for meal service.
    • Adhere to all company procedures regarding emergency protocols, sanitation, and proper food handling techniques.
    • Assist Hualani’s operation when needed, including special events and projects
    • Work with other department managers to ensure property goals are achieved.
    • Perform other duties as assigned.

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge and/or skill required. Valid Drivers license and TB Clearance.

    Education and Experience:

    • Minimum 6 months of food and beverage experience
    • Prior experience in customer service.

    Required Knowledge and Skills

    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with team members, owners, and guests.
    • Detail oriented and committed to maintaining a high standard of cleanliness and presentation.
    • Knowledge of health and safety regulations, sanitation standards, and cleaning procedures.
    • Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple tasks efficiently.
    • Comfortable and proficient using computerized systems
    • Correct business English, including spelling, grammar, and punctuation.
    • Techniques for dealing with a variety of individuals from various socio-economic, ethnic, and cultural backgrounds, in person, by video conference, and over the telephone.
    • Practices in compliance with local liquor laws.

    This position requires the ability to stand and walk for the duration of the work shift. The associate frequently is required to reach with hands and arms. Exposure to outdoor elements like heat, cold, rain, humidity, and sun.

    The associate must frequently lift and/or move up to 20 pounds and move up to 40 pounds with assistance.
