Job Description: The Pool Service Technician Assistant at Mystic Pool & Spa is responsible for supporting the Pool Service Technician in maintaining and servicing residential swimming pools. This includes assisting with pool cleaning, chemical testing and balancing, equipment maintenance, and customer service. The ideal candidate will be reliable, detail-oriented, and have a strong interest in pool maintenance. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety, functionality, and aesthetic appeal of our clients' pools, contributing to their overall satisfaction and enjoyment.
Responsibilities: Assist with Pool Maintenance: Aid the Pool Service Technician in cleaning pools, including skimming debris, vacuuming, brushing pool walls, and cleaning filters.
Chemical Testing and Balancing: Assist in testing pool water and adding the appropriate chemicals to ensure water quality and safety.
Equipment Maintenance: Help with inspecting, maintaining, and repairing pool equipment such as pumps, heaters, and filters.
Customer Service: Interact with customers professionally, address their concerns, and provide information about pool maintenance and services.
Record Keeping: Assist in maintaining accurate records of services performed, chemicals used, and equipment maintenance.
Safety Compliance: Follow all safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations regarding pool maintenance and safety. Attend training sessions to stay current with new products, services, and maintenance techniques.
Requirements: -High school diploma or equivalent; certification from a recognized pool operator course (e.g., CPO) is a plus. -Previous experience in pool service or maintenance is preferred but not required. -Strong understanding of pool chemistry and experience with pool maintenance equipment and tools. -Ability to diagnose and resolve basic technical issues with pool equipment. -Excellent communication and customer service skills. -Detail-oriented with a commitment to high standards of cleanliness and safety. -Physical ability to perform manual labor, including lifting up to 50 pounds, bending, and standing for extended periods. -Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation; willing to travel to multiple service locations within the area. -Flexibility to work occasional overtime during peak season.
