Port Captain

We are seeking a hands-on, experienced Port Captain to oversee daily operations and maintenance of a fleet of push boats and barges. This role plays a critical part in ensuring vessel readiness, regulatory compliance, and crew safety.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage all fleet personnel, both on the water and shoreside.

• Serve as the primary responder to vessel emergencies, on call 24/7/365.

• Oversee vessel maintenance, repairs, and special projects including dry dock and system upgrades.

• Manage budgets, operating costs, procurement, and performance metrics for assigned vessels.

• Ensure compliance with USCG Subchapter M regulations and Safety Management Systems.

REQUIREMENTS:

• 2+ Years as a Port Captain or Marine Ops Manager
• Familiar with Boats and Barges
• SubChampter M a huge plus
• USCG background
• Prior sailing experience a huge plus
• USCG Capt Lic
• Must be located in SE Louisiana area
• Must be ok with travel to various ports and docks
