    Associated Supermarket Group (ASG) has an excellent opportunity for a Portfolio & Collections Administrator. Working to support ASG’s Trade, Promotion and Credit Teams, the Analyst will be responsible for analyzing customer disputed statement invoices and balances. The Analyst will assist in the maintenance of insurance, and UCC database information, and compliance with corporate guidelines. The Analyst will also have interactions with Program Administrators, Collectors, Credit Committee Underwriters and other members of the finance team.

    Type: Full-Time

    Location: Hybrid – 3 days in office, Port Washington, NY; 2 days virtual work.

    Duties and responsibilities:

    Communicating with team members and providing dispute insight.

    Issuing credit / charge-off recommendations.

    Reconciliation of large multi-store billing and pricing issues.

    Troubleshoot discrepancies involving pricing, terms and payment differences.

    Requesting credits or reapplication of balances.

    Unapplied cash resolution.

    Direct collection of outstanding balances as needed.

    Maintain proper account spreadsheets and data collection efforts.

    Work to clarify the resulting final audit and remove any doubt the store owner or vendor may have to dispute the amount owed.

    Provide collection support preparing and submitting account documentation necessary for direct collection.

    Provide legal support by compiling account documentation necessary for litigation.

    Special projects and system user acceptance testing as needed.

    Qualifications:

    Bachelor's degree - preferably in Accounting, Business or Finance

    2 - 4 years preferably finance, collections, retail.

    Understanding of Account Receivables.

    Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office products, proficiency in Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables) a must.

    Strong reconciliation, analytical and business problem solving skills.

    Strong interpersonal skills.

    Excellent communication (verbal, written, listening) and communication skills.

    Must be extremely well organized with outstanding attention to detail and follow-through.

    Ability to work on several tasks simultaneously

    Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

    Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.

    Compensation: Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. The target hiring range for this position is between $55,000 and $65,000 per annum.
