Summary of Responsibilities
Responsible for driving sales growth within an assigned territory with National Retail channel customers. Build relationships with in-store customer personnel and management to maximize Kellogg brand position and visibility within store. Provide input to Sales Leadership & Marketing regarding competitive market intelligence, customer trends, and perceived opportunities. Lead in-store execution both through personal efforts, as well as through each territory’s team of Advocates and Merchandisers during the season.

The ideal candidate will hold a PhD or MD-PhD, have prior research experience in any of the followings: molecular biology, biochemistry, bioinformatics, computational biology and/or genomics and will have prior peer-reviewed publications. The candidate will be expected to plan and carry out research tasks independently and write-up/present findings on a regular basis. Biologists with strong molecular biology skills who are looking to improve their computational skills are particularly encouraged to apply for this position.
Salary
The pay for this position is $88,000; this includes $70,000 base pay and an $18,000 per year taxable housing allowance.

About NYGC: A cutting-edge environment for genomics
NYGC is an independent, nonprofit, academic research organization dedicated to advancing genomic research. NYGC scientists and staff are furthering new approaches to diagnosing and treating neurological diseases and cancer through their unique capabilities in whole genome sequencing, RNA sequencing, state-of-the art analytics, and the development of genomic tools. NYGC concentrates specifically on disease-based research in the following areas: neuropsychiatric disease (autism, schizophrenia, bipolar); neurodegenerative disease (ALS, Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s, Huntington’s), and cancer.
Located in Lower Manhattan, the New York Genome Center was founded by and remains closely affiliated with the leading academic medical centers and research universities in the New York region, engaging in research projects with and for these institutions. Essential to our collaborative work is an outstanding faculty, whose members typically hold a joint appointment at NYGC and a partner university.
