NexGen is currently seeking a Power Platform Solutions Architect who would be responsible for platform enablement with a focus on solutions that affect our client’s broad business and technical needs. This position will support the overall design of proposed solutions lifecycle management for the platform functionality and features in order to continue growing and evolving the service offering. The Architect should have a high level of expertise with Microsoft Power Platform, and related Microsoft Azure cloud solutions. This role establishes and owns enterprise architecture and technology roadmaps to bring relevant, new technology to the agency and which will create and drive standard, reusable, and consistent approach to enterprise IT processes.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:
- Propose system design of Power Platform products and connectors, supplemented with Azure services as needed, to meet new project requirements.
- Evaluate and make recommendations on the organization’s Power Platform architecture and data management strategies.
- Recommend strategies to optimize license costs and management within the platform.
- Provide consultation support on a variety of PowerApps connectors to other third-party software/tools to meet specific business needs and demonstrate the extended capabilities of the platform.
- Design support for custom PowerApps connectors.
- Support Power Apps Portal design, including authentication for external users.
- Provide cost estimates for new development tasks, including Microsoft licensing costs and development labor estimates.
- Drive innovation and collaboration with the newest advancements and features within the Power Platform.
- Define criteria and conduct proof of concepts, proof of value, and prototyping to evaluate product and feature value and consideration for the organization.
- Help manage product requirements and gap assessments to influence vendor product roadmap directly.
- Partner with IT Leaders on business case development with careful consideration of migrating from current or legacy solutions and approaches.
- Support platform maturity and integration of application lifecycle management (ALM) within the Power Platform.
- Collaborate with the staff to identify, address and mitigate security risks and ensure compliance with the relevant regulatory requirements.

Technical Skills:
- 3 years of relevant experience is required.
- Power Platform architecture, development & troubleshooting skills.
- In-depth knowledge of the entire Power Platform stack (PowerApps, Power BI, Power Automate, Power Virtual Agents, and Power Pages), PowerApps connectors, and custom connectors.
- Experience with delivering robust Power Platform solutions that leverage Azure services to augment capabilities.
- Demonstrated understanding of cloud technologies and hybrid solutions that interface with on-premises systems.
- Stakeholder and customer management skills.
- Microsoft vendor and licensing management experience.
- Experience working with Agile/Scrum methodologies.

Additional Requirements:

- The successful candidate will also be able to pass background screening prior to employment.
- US Citizenship, or legal permanent residence, or US work authorization with minimum 3 years of continuous US presence is required due to federal contract requirements.
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience is required.
