About the Role:

We’re looking for a PowerOn Developer with deep experience in Symitar’s PowerOn scripting language to build, maintain, and optimize custom solutions for credit union core processing. You’ll work closely with business analysts and end users to deliver tools that enhance functionality, improve user experience, and automate workflows.

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and deploy custom PowerOn programs and maintenance events

• Enhance existing scripts to improve efficiency and usability

• Debug and resolve issues within PowerOn and core-integrated solutions

• Collaborate with IT and business teams to gather requirements and propose solutions

• Support system upgrades, conversions, and third-party integrations (SymXchange, SymConnect, jXchange)

• Document code and maintain version control best practices

Required Skills:

• 3+ years of PowerOn programming within the Symitar Episys environment

• Experience with SymXchange, SymConnect, jXchange, and RepGen

• Strong troubleshooting and debugging skills

• Familiarity with credit union operations (loans, shares, member services)

• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects

Nice to Have:

• Experience with SQL Server, XML, or API development

• Familiarity with DevOps, Git, or scripting outside Symitar

• Background in financial software or core conversions
