A long-standing client of ours has engaged us in a search for a crucial leadership role for their Sage Intacct business unit. Specializing in mid-market ERP solutions and expertise across finance, accounting, operations, workforce management, and customer experience, our client serves as a trusted advisor to small and mid-sized companies in a variety of industries across the US. The company is now backed by Private Equity and has the capital and resources to scale the entire business significantly and this Sage Intacct group is a big part of that growth.
The Practice Director will serve as the business unit CEO and have full P&L ownership. This is a Direct-Hire position that can be based remotely, ideally anywhere in the Northeast or mid-Atlantic regions.
The Role You’ll Play
As the Practice Director of the Sage Intacct business unit, you will serve as the strategic visionary and be responsible for driving the practice's growth and success. You will report directly to the Executive Leadership Team and collaborate closely with cross-functional leaders in Marketing, Sales, Client Services, and IT, as well as the Practice Directors of the other business units. You will play a vital role in ensuring the effective delivery of Sage Intacct products and services and set the vision for growth and increasing market share.
Develop and execute strategic plans to drive revenue growth through the effective delivery of Sage Intacct solutions to clients.
Collaborate with functional leaders to execute business unit strategy across Marketing, Sales, Client Services, and IT.
Build competitive intelligence regarding solution offerings both within the business unit and externally.
Forge and maintain strategic partnerships with key vendors, partners, and outsourced providers.
Serve as a thought leader and evangelist for the company's cloud accounting products and team.
Manage relationships with strategic client accounts and provide high-level consulting to clients when needed.
Drive the design and implementation of new applications and enhancements to the cloud accounting suite.
Provide strong leadership to enable the division to efficiently meet its objectives within a profitable operating model.
Monitor industry trends and identify potential opportunities and threats.
Collaborate with sales and marketing to achieve revenue targets and provide pre-sales support.
Background Profile:
Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, or related field required; advanced degree preferred.
10+ years of experience in mid-market ERP solutions, demonstrating expertise in business acumen, sales and marketing strategies, financial analysis, problem-solving, and solutioning.
5+ years of experience in a divisional or practice leadership role for an IT professional services or system integrator organization.
Deep understanding of KPIs and Metrics for an IT consulting business paying close attention to lead and lag indicators that affect the P&L.
Experience creating and managing budgets
Strong leadership ability with high EQ and a “lead from the front” type mentality. Adept at vision-casting and motivation while fostering a sense of ownership within your team.
Prior experience in pre-sales and account planning is highly desired.
