Job Summary We are seeking an experienced and energetic Pre K Teacher Assistant to join our team! You will be responsible for encouraging children’s intellectual, psychological, and physical growth. Responsibilities
Assist Lead Teacher in organizing and implementing a developmentally appropriate curriculum for children ages 4-5, in alignment with North Carolina's Pre-K guidelines and early learning standards.
Provide a safe, welcoming, and inclusive classroom environment where all children feel valued.
Foster positive relationships with children, families, and colleagues, encouraging open communication and collaboration.
Maintain classroom order and discipline in a positive and supportive manner, ensuring a safe and respectful environment.
Provide guidance and support for children’s emotional and social development, helping them build self-confidence and positive peer relationships.
Participate in ongoing professional development opportunities to stay current with early childhood education practices and regulations.
Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations related to early childhood education and child care.
Qualifications
HS Diploma or equivalent
Child Development Associate (CDA) credential
Previous experience as a daycare teacher or childcare provider
Strong understanding of child development
Patient, kind, and nurturing
Excellent organizational, communication, and time management skills
First aid/CPR certified
