The Goddard School, located in Marshallton/West Chester, an Early Childhood Education center, is currently hiring a full time PK teachers. Experience working with children under the age of 6 is necessary. A Lead Teacher at The Goddard School is responsible for establishing and maintaining a safe, healthy, and nurturing learning environment. To accomplish required job duties, teachers work closely with a co-teacher along with the entire faculty and administration.

Our school is open Monday -Friday, 7:00am-6:00pm.

Job Responsibilities

Establish and maintain a safe, healthy and nurturing learning environment

Help to implement weekly lesson plans based on Goddard’s Developmental Guidelines and monthly school themes

Advance children’s physical and intellectual competence while supporting each child’s social and emotional development, and individual needs

Establish positive and effective family relations through interactive parent communication

Appropriate and professional communication with fellow staff and management, cultivating a healthy and functional working environment that fosters teamwork

Participate in regular staff meetings and training sessions

Ensure compliance with Goddard’s Quality Assurance and PA state standards

Work with a team of other teachers in the classroom

Job Requirements

All candidates, who wish to be considered must meet the following criteria:

To be considered candidate must have prior classroom experience at a childcare center or related experience working with children under the age of 6

Bachelor's degree in education or related field preferred

Strong work ethic, leadership and communication skills

Positive attitude and inherent love for young children

Ability to lift and carry children and other items weighing up to 50 pounds

Be available to start employment within a few weeks of accepting an offer

18+ with a high school degree or GED.

Driver's License required
