    Harbor View Creative Learning Center is looking for a pre-K teacher Assistant with a qualifying letter to join our team! Please do not apply if you are unable to work a closing shift from 9:00 to 6:00 Monday through Friday.

    ** Before your first day, you will need a North Carolina qualifying letter, a recent TB test, and a physical.

    Pay starts between $15.00 and $18.00 based on education and experience. On-going pay raises for all employees are awarded based on meeting program standards and expectations. If you are a good fit for our program, we love to promote and help all our teaching staff grow! Career advancement is always available, and we are willing to assist.

    Benefits:

    Full-time staff members have the ability to earn up to 96 hours of PTO and 66 hours of sick pay a year.

    Medical, Dental, Vision, and Colonial Life (Life Insurance, Accident Insurance, Individual Disability, and Individual Critical Illness) are available after 60 days of employment. Harbor View contributes $10 monthly towards your choice of benefits.

    Holiday pay will be paid based on your individual average hours worked and will be paid to each employee after their 60-day probationary period.

    Responsibilities:

    Develop a fun and creative lesson plan suitable for children between 3-4 year olds

    Employ a variety of educational techniques (storytelling, educational play, etc.) to teach children

    Observe each child to help them improve their social competencies and build self-esteem

    Encourage children to interact with each other and resolve occasional arguments

    Guide children to develop their artistic and practical capabilities through a carefully constructed curriculum (identify shapes, numbers, colors, art, etc...).

    Track children's progress and report to parents

    Communicate with parents regularly to understand the children's background and psyche.

    Collaborate with other educators.

    Maintain a clean and tidy classroom consistent with health and safety standards.

    Desired Candidate

    Experience working in a licensed childcare facility

    Qualifying letter (Needed before the first day)

    TB test and Physical

    Familiarity with safety and sanitation guidelines for classrooms

    Excellent communication and instructional skills

    Ability to act as a mediator between children

    Cool-tempered, friendly, and reliable

    Certification in child CPR or willingness to obtain
