 MATHEMATICS ADJUNCT FACULTY

TALLAHASSEE COMMUNITY COLLEGE announces openings for Mathematics Adjunct Faculty positions for the 2020-21 academic year to teach online synchronous classes.                                   

MAJOR FUNCTION:  Adjunct faculty responsibilities includes providing online synchronous instruction, service and support of college policies and procedures, and professional development.   

ADJUNCT FACULTY MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Requires a Master’s degree in Mathematics or Statistics, or a Master’s degree in a closely related area with 18 graduate hours in Mathematics or Statistics. 

In addition to the minimum qualifications listed for this position, all prospective faculty are expected to demonstrate the following characteristics:

3. Use of technology and innovative approaches to enhance teaching and learning, including distance learning and alternative delivery systems
4. Willingness to support a diverse population of learners inside and beyond the classroom

Required Skills Required Experience

EDUCATION:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Physics or Mathematics from a four-year college

EXPERIENCE:

• Engineer  (Minimum 10 years)
• Must have experience in generation of systems requirements, design documentation, interface documentation and management of requirements.
• Must have experience in Systems Integration and Test.
• Functional knowledge of Radar, ATC or SSR/IFF system elements (i.e. antennas, receivers, transmitters, and processors).
• Experience with Systems Engineering tools such as DOORS and Matlab .
• Experience in radar algorithms, real-time software, data analysis and/or modeling and simulation
• Excellent analytical and communications skills
• Experience with common lab test equipment operation

OTHER:

• Occasional travel requiring overnight stays may be required. Airline travel must be acceptable.
• Must have a background that would permit the U.S. Department of Defense to issue a Secret clearance when necessary for work on a project that requires such a clearance.
