Analysts ensure that AAA Life Insurance makes effective business and operational decisions. As an Analyst, your work, whether it's modeling business scenarios, tracking performance metrics or building metrics that matter, is used by our leaders to make strategic company decisions. Working on multiple projects at a time, you'll focus on the details while finding creative ways to take on big picture challenges. You'll lead individual projects to transform planning, tracking and control processes, as well as provide executive level management with insightful recommendations, planning and reporting support.
This role is a blend of client service, strategic consulting, and analytics delivery. It requires strong analytic skills, technical aptitude, ability to communicate effectively, and a passion for continuous improvement. Associate Analysts build consultative relationships with internal and external clients, develop expertise with industry leading tools and methodologies, and are able to apply statistical methods to solve complex business challenges.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop automated, easy to understand reports and ad hoc analyses that effectively answer questions, identify patterns and highlight opportunities for improvement or action.
- Analyze data to evaluate process effectiveness and sales performance across multiple dimensions (campaigns, channels, applications, sales, etc.). Make optimization recommendations to business partners and teams to improve performance.
- Develop and execute processes that leverage statistical methods to optimize business outcomes. Work with Data Scientists to identify and prioritize new opportunities to deploy advanced analytics.
- Proactively seek out new opportunities to increase sales, reduce costs, and improve internal processes. Work with Analytics team members to analyze potential financial impact, determine stakeholders, develop execution plans, lead meetings, and launch projects.
- Serve as a consultative partner on planning, strategy, measurement, and optimization opportunities for multiple clients which include marketing channel owners and others throughout the organization. Champion data-driven decision making and data literacy within the organization.
- Work with the project stakeholders to identify business needs and gather requirements for data analysis or deployment of already existing analytics solutions and BI tools
- Present to partners, internal departments, and vendors to communicate performance.
- Advance data use by participating in data stewardship efforts

Required Experience
- Bachelor in Statistics, Economics, Applied Mathematics, Engineering or related technical field
- 4 or more years of experience working in an analytics, planning, or operations role
- 4 or more years of experience in SQL
- 4 or more years of experience in Python, R or SAS
- 4 or more years of experience presenting the results
- 4 or more years of experience analyzing and interpreting data from multiple sources
- 4 or more years of experience using Tableau, Power BI or a similar tool to analyze data and present results
- 4 or more years of experience in a business intelligence or analytics role
Preferred Experience
- Masters in Statistics/Data Science/Computation, or related field preferred
- Experience with designing and enhancing process to automate and streamline recurring processes.
- Experience with direct mail and digital marketing.
