DATA ENTRY CLERK

PREMIER AUTO CREDIT, VAN NUYS, CA

FULL-TIME

Join an exciting Van Nuys auto finance company as a Data Entry Clerk with opportunity for career growth. As the Data Entry Clerk, you will be responsible for a variety of funding support functions, especially correctly entering large volumes of data into in-house systems and databases. The ideal candidate will be computer savvy and a fast typist with a keen eye for detail.

DAILY DUTIES:

• Review source documents provided directly from dealers such as loan contracts, book sheets, credit applications, deal structures and enter data in specific data fields using our proprietary database software
• Locate and correct data entry errors, or report them to supervisors
• Retrieve data from the database or electronic files as requested
• Sort and organize paperwork after entering data to ensure it is not lost
• Maintains operations by following policies and procedures; reporting needed changes
• Maintains customer confidence and protects operations by keeping information confidential
• Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
• Assisting with special projects as required

QUALIFICATIONS

• Able to quickly and accurately type and enter data; knowledge of touch typing system preferred
• Must be computer savvy with the ability to operate at a fast pace within a paperless environment
• Ability to self-start and work independently with minimal supervision
• Ability to work in an accurate, detail-oriented and highly productive manner
• Strong verbal/written communication skills and organizational skills with the ability to multi-task and react quickly in a fast paced environment
• Bilingual English/Spanish highly preferred

REQUIRED SKILLS:

• Proven experience as data entry clerk
• Fast typing skills; Knowledge of touch typing system is strongly preferred
• Excellent knowledge of word processing tools and spreadsheets (MS Office Word, Excel etc.)
• Working knowledge of office equipment and computer hardware and peripheral devices
• Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision

EDUCATION:

• High School Diploma (or GED or High School Equivalence Certificate)
