    Job Title: Prep Cook Location: Ling and Louie’s Asian Fusion

    Position Summary: At Ling and Louie's, our Prep Cooks are the backbone of our kitchen team, ensuring that ingredients are prepared and ready to create our signature dishes. This role is perfect for an individual with a passion for food, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. This position is a self-motivated role, we are looking for a team member that is able to coordinate and complete tasks without a lot of oversight.

    Key Responsibilities:

    Ingredient Preparation: Accurately and efficiently prepare ingredients (chopping, slicing, measuring, etc.) according to recipes and restaurant standards.

    Recipe Compliance: Follow portion sizes, presentation specifications, and food prep guidelines.

    Kitchen Organization: Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked prep area, including proper storage and labeling of ingredients.

    Team Collaboration: Work closely with line cooks and other kitchen staff to ensure seamless food preparation and service.

    Safety and Sanitation: Adhere to all food safety and sanitation guidelines, ensuring a safe environment for both staff and guests.

    Inventory Support: Assist with checking and restocking inventory as needed to minimize waste and ensure quality.

    Flexibility: Support the kitchen team with additional tasks, including dishwashing or line cooking, when necessary.

    Qualifications:

    Previous prep cook or kitchen experience is preferred but not required—willing to train the right candidate.

    Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a positive attitude.

    Strong organizational and multitasking skills.

    Familiarity with basic kitchen tools and equipment.

    Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.

    Food Handler’s Permit or ability to obtain one prior to starting.
