We are looking for an experienced Prep Cook to join our team!
You will be preparing ingredients for a variety of dishes for restaurant guests to enjoy. You are passionate about creating exceptional dining experiences through quality food and preparation. While previous experience is a plus, we can train the right person who has a great work ethic and the willingness to learn. You should be able to handle multiple tasks and contribute to a friendly and productive team atmosphere. Looking for a Part-Time Prep Cook - 2-3 Days/week availability!!
Responsibilities:
Inspect and clean food preparation areas, such as equipment and work surfaces or serving areas to ensure safe and sanitary food-handling practices
Follow prep list written out by a chef on a daily basis
Ensure freshness of food and ingredients by checking for quality, keeping track of old and new items, and rotating stock
Ensure food is stored and prepared at the correct temperature by regulating the temperature of ovens, broilers, grills, and roasters, where appropriate
Maintain a neat prep station
Respond to chef/manager feedback with appropriate urgency and professionalism
Qualifications:
Must have a positive work attitude
Previous experience as a restaurant prep cook preferred but not required
Effective communication skills
Ability to lift 30+ lbs.
Ability to work standing for 8+ hours
